Data stored on your device
Packstead stores trip names, optional departure dates, kit names, item names, categories, quantities, packing progress, and deleted entries inside the app on your iPhone. It keeps a current local save and one previous local save for recovery. The app does not send this data to the developer.
No account or tracking
Packstead has no account system, developer-operated backend, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or tracking. It does not access location, contacts, camera, or the photo library. Core features do not require an internet connection.
Sharing and backup files
You may choose to share checklist text or export a JSON backup using the iOS share sheet or Files interface. Your selected app or file provider may store or transmit those contents under its own privacy policy. Importing a backup reads the file you select. Packstead has no automatic cross-device cloud sync. iOS device backups may include app data according to your system settings.
Deletion and recovery
Deleted items and lists remain in Recently Deleted until you permanently remove them there. Older exported backups and the previous local save may retain records deleted later. App uninstall removes its local storage; keep an exported backup if you wish to retain your lists. If an unreadable file is replaced through a confirmed backup import, the original unreadable file is preserved inside app storage to prevent unintended data loss.
Support and website
If you email support, your email provider transmits the address and contents you choose. We use the information to handle your support request. Do not send sensitive details you do not want to share. This static support website is hosted by GitHub Pages; GitHub may process standard request information under its own privacy policy. The site includes no analytics, advertising, cookies added by us, or remote fonts.
Payments
Apple processes App Store payments. Packstead does not receive payment-card information. The app contains no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
